If you’re trans or queer this is no news to you. But if you are cis or het or simply well meaning but unsure where to begin well here we go. To be a proper trans ally we need to fight for basic equality, human rights and inclusive words for our trans folx. If you think basic human rights are ‘woke’ then you don’t belong here.
The biggest thing you can do is find your local queer organization. Or barring that the nearest one for rural folk. Join, support, donate!
And more than anything donating to help trans people move is very important right now. If you don’t feel personally directly helping a trans person will help donate to your nearest trans/queer center. Even Iowa has one!
