Personally I suggest recording with your phone any moment someone starts harassing you or you feel harassment is coming up, because film is hard to dispute.Taking any basic self defense classes in person or online are also a good idea. I like a bulky ring for a defense tool, one that could blind or skin someone. That works for any gender.
